Here’s my eleventh player bio from my top 14 players in this year NBA draft as I see it:
TYLER ZELLER – SR – PF/C – North Carolina – 7’0.50 – 247 – 16.3ppg – 9.6rpg – 1.5blk
ACC’s Player of the Year almost averaging a double/double while shooting 55%FG and 81%FT
Extremely mobile big man, who runs the floor effortlessly.
Mature and as ready as any big in the draft to step in and play right away in the NBA.
Rebounds the ball very well.
Skilled offensive big with a solid jumper, good moves and touch around the hoop and nice hands.
Understands the game and how to play various positions.
Should play in the league for many years & some feel could be a 10p-8r guy every night
A lot of scouts feel he’s playing at his peak right now, so there’s not much upside. What you see is what you’ll get and not much more.
Needs to add weight and muscle to handle the rigors of playing center night in and night out in the NBA.
His back to the basket game needs work on offense.
Will need to get quicker if he’s going to play some power forward.
Like most rookies, will be challenged playing defense early in career
